About Chelsea Russell

Chelsea Till knows firsthand that behind every business is a human being trying to build something meaningful.

Growing up with a mother who owned her own business, Chelsea had a front-row seat to both the rewards and the realities of entrepreneurship. She witnessed the late nights, the difficult decisions, and the stress that comes with making payroll every two weeks when cash flow is tight. Those experiences shaped her appreciation for business owners and fueled her passion for helping them succeed.

After earning her degree in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University, Chelsea spent nearly 14 years with Lutron Electronics, a global leader in lighting and shading solutions. Throughout her career, she partnered with privately held businesses across a wide range of industries—including manufacturers' representatives, distributors, contractors, integrators, and dealers—helping them grow their businesses and create lasting value. While sales was a significant part of her role, her work extended far beyond revenue growth. She collaborated with business leaders on strategic planning, organizational development, leadership, talent management, customer experience, and long-term business strategy.

One of Chelsea's greatest professional passions is human-centric lighting—the science and art of designing environments that support how people live, work, and feel. Today, she brings that same philosophy to The Alternative Board. Just as great lighting puts people at the center of design, great businesses put people at the center of success. Chelsea believes that business coaching should focus not only on improving the business, but also on helping the owner create a more fulfilling life.

As a TAB Facilitator and Coach, Chelsea helps business owners gain clarity, solve challenges, strengthen leadership teams, and build businesses that support both their professional goals and personal aspirations. Her approach combines strategic thinking, practical execution, and genuine curiosity about what makes people thrive.

When she's not working with business owners, you'll often find her training or performing aerial silks, a passion she has pursued for over a decade. The sport has taught her some of life's most valuable lessons: growth happens outside your comfort zone, fear is often a sign you're heading in the right direction, and there is nothing quite like the feeling of accomplishing something you once thought was impossible. Whether it's executing a new drop from 30 feet in the air or helping a business owner navigate a major challenge, Chelsea believes confidence is built one courageous step at a time.
