With over 30 years of business leadership experience, Kit Timmons has built a career marked by resilience, adaptability, and a deep commitment to organizational excellence. Kit’s professional journey began in the family business, dedicating 15 years to its growth before spending an additional 15 years as a co-owner alongside siblings. Serving as president for 21 years, he ran a multi-state temporary staffing firm that averaged 3,500 employees annually. Under Kit’s leadership, the company underwent three significant rebrands, navigated multiple mergers and acquisitions, and continuously evolved to maintain competitiveness in a rapidly changing market.

Throughout Kit’s tenure, the organization weathered profound challenges—including a 50% revenue loss after 9/11, the economic downturn of 2008, and the 2020 pandemic. Guiding the company through these tests demanded strategic adaptability, difficult decision-making, and a commitment to cultivating a culture focused on collective success. Innovation was a cornerstone of Kit’s approach; the business transitioned from paper-based processes to a fully electronic employee and client experience via new technologies and applications. He also gained comprehensive expertise across all areas of employment law, human resources, and employee development, particularly in hiring, onboarding, and organizational growth.

As the principal driver of business development, Kit maintained essential national account relationships and spearheaded initiatives aimed at sustainable growth and client satisfaction. Today, as part of The Alternative Board, Kit brings this extensive experience to business owners on the Illinois side of the St. Louis market. Having previously benefited from TAB as a member under the mentorship of coach Greg Yank, he recognizes the transformative power of peer advisory boards, one-on-one coaching, and strategic leadership workshops.
