Mike Black is President and Founder of Envision Leadership and Consulting, Inc., and works with The Alternative Board® providing coaching and peer advisory group facilitation services to leaders of small and medium-sized businesses. Mike is known for his ability to fully grasp business needs and integration, often beyond what is stated, and develop sound, robust solutions. His creative, process-oriented approach lends itself to out-of-the-box thinking that identifies opportunities not previously seen. Mike leverages his broad experience across multiple industries and leadership roles to help business leaders solve their most important challenges and develop new business opportunities.

Mike’s career spans more than 30 years. This includes working with The Coca-Cola Company, InterContinental Hotels Group, The Home Depot, and CompuCom Systems, Inc. He has also successfully completed multiple consulting engagements which include driving the effort to obtain PCI certification for Basha’s. He has worked in a variety of roles and led efforts across North America as well as Europe, Asia, and South America. He has worked seamlessly across all aspects of the business including all levels of management, sales, IT, delivery, finance, legal, and project management. He has built a Global Shared Services (HR, IT, Finance) from the ground up including organizational structure, processes, and governance. All this makes him uniquely qualified to work with business leaders on any and all aspects of their business. He is able to work at the highest levels of an organization to define and drive strategy and processes based on the needs of the business. He is then able to take this through to the operational, organizational, and infrastructure details needed to execute and sustain those strategies, including the development of the internal capabilities needed for ongoing success.
