Prior to entering the commercial finance industry, Robbie Faucett began his career in 1989 as owner of a residential construction company. Unlike many lenders with no entrepreneurial experience, he understands the trials and tribulations business owners’ face. In 1996, Robbie exited the building industry and joined a national equipment finance and asset based lending firm where he managed customer and bank partner referral relationships in the Carolina’s and Georgia. In 1999, he was recruited to help start a regional commercial finance company where he served 13 years as Executive Vice President, building a lending portfolio with annual funding exceeding $130MM. Robbie joined the Cash Flow Division of Chesapeake Bank in 2012 as Senior Commercial and Business Development Officer. In this specialty finance division of the bank, Robbie originates working capital credit facilities for growing companies across the country. He credits his success by cultivating valuable relationships with many bankers, consultants, accountants, and financial intermediaries where he assists them in providing proper working capital credit facilities to help their customers and clients succeed in today’s competitive marketplace.
Robbie resides in Spartanburg, South Carolina and is a TAB Board Member (TAB Charlotte). Since 2005, he has served on the Upstate Workforce Board and is its past Chairperson. Robbie is a 1985 graduate of the University of South Carolina Upstate with a baccalaureate degree in Economics/Finance.
