I am the CEO of The Alternative Board (“TAB”) – North Tampa. I have over 30 years of business experience and in Tampa, I have been the CEO of three businesses, Pasco Beverages Corporation (“Pasco”), Vitality Foodservice, Inc. (“Vitality”) and the North American Division of Nestle’s foodservice beverage business. I was also a director on the Boards for both Pasco and Vitality. I have lived in Tampa since October 1999.
As the CEO, I built and empowered teams to lead, develop and implement business strategies within the framework of a clear vision, sound values, and a positive working environment. My experience incorporates market positioning, strategic partnering, new product introductions, routes to market, solutions selling, business systems implementations and a relentless focus on improving effectiveness. I have an excellent track record.
I was also the CFO of a much smaller rapidly growing company where I worked closely with the CEO to develop and build the infrastructure to support double-digit growth. We grew both organically and through acquisitions and successfully developed and executed an exit strategy for the Company’s owners. I specialize in offering CFO consulting services.
I have a Bachelor of Commerce (1977), a post-graduate Honors degree majoring in Business Administration and Finance (1978) and a Diploma in Accountancy (1978) all from the University of Natal (now Kwa Zulu) in South Africa. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa (license now expired) and I am licensed (inactive) CPA in California.
