Clarence Silvia is President of The Alternative Board serving Central New England. He has more than 27 years experience leading large and mid-sized businesses in achieving their goals. He has led two affiliations for his companies, as well as a financial turnaround, and established and developed a new business line for the company.
Silvia founded The Alternative Board TAB® of Central New England. TAB is a selective, by invitation only, membership organization made up of Presidents, CEOs, and business owners who meet monthly in advisory boards to work in a structured way to address their issues, opportunities and concerns, and improve profitability, revenue and efficiency in their companies.
Prior to TAB of Central New England, Silvia was the President and CEO of The Hospital of Central Connecticut, Senior Vice President of Hartford Healthcare and President of Central Connecticut Senior Health Services. He has a strong background in Strategic Planning, developing balanced scorecards, and organizational effectiveness, focusing on leadership behaviors and group dynamics. Silvia graduated summa cum laude from The University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master’s in Business Administration. He is also a TAB certified facilitator and business coach.
