Allen was a syndicated business columnist for Tribune Media Services, producing the well-known column “Business Success.” His personal business experiences, which allowed him to retire at age 45, and his experiences interviewing private business owners across the United States while producing his column, convinced him of the need for a business such as TAB. His intuition has proven correct, and Allen continues to keep his finger on the pulse of small and mid-sized business owners in the Western Hemisphere. Allen holds an undergraduate degree from St. Louis University, and a law degree from St Louis University.

As President and Chief Executive Officer of The Alternative Board® (TAB), Jason develops the strategic vision for the future of the company, which has more than 170 offices operating in more than 1,000 cities worldwide. Jason also runs the day-to-day operations for the corporate offices in Denver. The Alternative Board has experienced significant growth and business success under Jason’s leadership since his arrival at TAB over seven years ago. Jason has more than 17 years’ experience in executive management and operations. From his early career at Ernst & Young, to several years of top-level business management experience before coming to TAB, Jason’s passion for entrepreneurship, operational excellence and achieving visionary strategic plans has helped businesses rise to the next level. In 2008, Jason was a semifinalist in the Rocky Mountain region of Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year. Jason is a certified franchise executive with the International Franchise Association. Jason holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from CUNY Baruch in New York.
