Jeff Goergen

Executive Vice President and COO

E-mail Jeff

Jeff has over 25 years of experience in both finance and operations. After graduating from the University of South Dakota with a degree in Accounting, Jeff began his career in the early 80’s in both private and public accounting including stints with Touche Ross and Arthur Young. In 1990, Jeff moved to Sprint in Kansas City where he joined their internal audit department. After leaving internal audit, Jeff then moved into a line finance role supporting Sprint’s Business Operations division where he led the effort to implement activity-based costing and balanced scorecards for all of Sprint’s voice and data operations centers throughout the country.

Jeff’s experience in operations began in 1994, when he was named Director in charge of running Sprint’s audio conference operations. In that role, Jeff was responsible for two regional centers and 265 employees. In 1997, Jeff moved back to Denver to work for Sprint’s Small Business Division as Senior Director where he was responsible for the division’s customer service operations. In that role, Jeff oversaw the construction and formation of two regional centers and helped grow the division to four regional centers and 350 employees. In 1999, Jeff left Sprint to join Rhythms Netconnections, a start-up high speed DSL provider as the VP of Provisioning & Customer Service where he was responsible for the establishment of the company’s provisioning, installation and customer care operations. Jeff successfully led the dramatic growth of the operation to 500 employees. Subsequent to Rhythms, Jeff moved back into a more traditional finance role as CFO for two separate Colorado based start-up gaming ventures while leveraging his experience in operations to take on expanded roles.

Jeff joined TAB in May 2006 as Director of Finance and has brought a culture of management by fact to the organization. He has led the development of operations based metrics, dashboards and processes which have brought visibility to the key leading and lagging indicators driving the system. In addition to overseeing the accounting and finance organization, Jeff also had ultimate responsibility for IT and human resources.
